I need a microscope for personal use. I'm looking for something that is not a toy. I don't need anything very high end either. I prefer a binocular scope but to save $$ I'll take a monocular. Any recommendations in the $100-150 price range? Thank you.

Try looking at the internet. There are a lot of websites there that are exclusive at offering microscope services.

Try looking the low-cost yet standard microscopes that fit your need at www.truevisionmicroscopes.com. They offer an array of choices. Believe me. I have bought one from them and it was great!
