Hi !
I am interested in the the LOMO POLAM-L 213 polarised light microscope and the attachable Monochometer. I would like to learn more about the Monochometer (price, image, how it works,etc). I am a geologist and I am looking for way to determine the refractive indices of minerals. How easy is the Monochometer to operate ? How precise it is ? Are thin sections necessary (can a cover glass with a mineral fragment be used ?). What is the range of indices available ?

This LOMO POLAM-L 213 polarised light microscope is very new to me. It's name even sounds too futuristic too me. I hope i could have one soon.
